IF YOUR CARD IS LOST OR STOLEN

Call Customer Service right away 1 (877) 328-9677. They will put a lock on your card and tell you how to get a new card. It’s important that you call Customer Service as soon as possible! If someone uses your card and PIN to get benefits, these benefits will not be replaced.
If your card is damaged and you need to manually input your card number at the retailer, you should request a replacement card as soon as possible.

HOW DO I APPLY FOR BENEFITS?

Eligibility for Food Stamp benefits and/or cash assistance is determined at the local county office. To find a California public website, click here. You can also find your county's welfare department listed under the County Government Section in the telephone book.

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR EBT CARD

DO NOT keep your card and PIN together.
DO NOT damage or bend your card.
DO NOT write on or scratch the black stripe on the back of your card.
DO NOT get your card wet.
DO NOT put your card near magnets, TVs, DVD players, CD players, stereos, VCRs or telephones.
DO NOT leave your card in the sun, like on the dashboard of a car, because it will curl up and not work.
DO NOT keep your card out in the open—always put your card in a safe place after using it.
DO NOT throw your card away—you will use the same card every month as long as you receive benefits.
