Keep your EBT Card and Benefits Safe

  • Keep your card in a safe place.
  • DO NOT let anyone else use your card without permission.
  • If your card is lost or stolen, call Customer Service at (877) 328-9677 right away. Your card will be canceled and they will assist you in getting a new EBT card.
  • Keep your Personal Identification Number (PIN) secret. NEVER give your PIN to your caseworker, family members, store cashiers, or anyone.
  • DO NOT use ATMs that appear to have been altered.
  • DO NOT use ATMs with unusual signage, such as a command to enter your PIN twice to complete a transaction.
  • Always cover the keypad with your other hand when you enter your PIN to block someone or a camera from viewing it and never use your PIN if you think someone is watching you.
  • NEVER write your PIN on your card, the card sleeve or on anything you keep with your card.
  • DO NOT keep your card and PIN together.
  • Change your PIN on a regular basis, and avoid easy-to-guess number combinations like 1-2-3-4 or 1-1-1-1.
  • If someone takes your card and knows your PIN, they can use your benefits! If benefits are withdrawn by someone else before you call Customer Service, YOUR BENEFITS MAY NOT BE REPLACED. Call Customer Service immediately to cancel your card.
  • Beware of Scams!
